Si tratta di leggere sei libri, uno per ogni categoria:
1. Punctuation. This can be periods (.), dashes (-), commas (,), apostrophes (‘), exclamation points (!), question marks (?), quotation marks (“), colon (:), etc. For example: Tomorrow’s Bread (apostrophe), What Happened to You? (question mark), The Last Mrs. Parrish (period), A Well-Behaved Woman: A Novel of the Vanderbilts (dash and colon)
2. 7 Deadly Sins. The 7 deadly sins include: pride, greed, wrath, envy, lust, gluttony, sloth. These can include those words exactly or synonyms of those words. For example: Pride and Prejudice, A Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet (wrath), Coveted (envy), King Leopold’s Ghost: A Story of Greed, Terror, and Heroism in Colonial Africa, Lust Killer, Idle Hands (sloth), Glutton for Punishment, Crave (gluttony, lust, envy)
3. You or Me. This means titles with these words exactly or “your,” “I,” “my,” “myself, “yourself”. For example: You, Close Your Eyes, Come With Me, Talking as Fast as I Can, My Side of the Mountain
4. Chess Piece. Choose a title with the name of a chess piece or a synonym for that piece. Chess pieces include: Rook, knight, bishop, king, queen, pawn. For example: The Rook, I Capture the Castle, The Hedge Knight, Breakfast of Champions, The Bishop’s Daughter, Sarah Bishop, The Priest’s Graveyard, Red Queen, Empress of a Thousand Skies, A Clash of Kings, The Tsar of Love and Techno, The Sultan’s Daughter, Fortune’s Pawn, The Motion of Puppets
5. Celebration. This includes synonyms for “celebration” such as party, festival, gala, etc. For example: Hallowe’en Party, Foul Play at the Fair, Dark Celebration, A Feast for Crows
6. Q, X, Z. Titles for this category need to include at least one of these letters anywhere in the title. For example: Oryx and Crake, Mexican Gothic, Crazy Rich Asians, Zenith, Sea of Tranquility, Such a Quiet Place
